Take a look at the new addition to SATX’s skyline. The Floodgate is set to be completed in April 2023 and is a 17-story apartment building where every three floors will be offset (picture a Rubik’s cube) giving its residents spectacular views of the city. The modern-luxury building will also feature a fourth-floor swimming pool + fitness center. 🏙️ (San Antonio Business Journal)

There may be a daily train that connects SATX to Chicago in the future. According to a recent interview with the CEO of Amtrak, William Flynn, has plans to add new services to the Texas Triangle (Think: SATX, ATX, Dallas + Houston) due to the boom in population growth. 🚂 (MySA)

Three million Texans plan to travel during Memorial Day weekend despite a spike in gas prices. According to experts, gas prices have the potential to jump 30 percent, which would put the national average for a gallon of gas at $6+. San Antonio’s average for gas currently sits at $4.26. ⛽ (KENS5)
