🚀 Vertiport at Port San Antonio (i.e. ‘flying cars’) -
A vertiport is an area of land or structure intended to be used for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOLs).
-
This structure will be able to accommodate traditional winged aircraft + a new generation of passenger eVTOLs.
- This means everyday human flight through electrically-powered aircraft is rapidly becoming a reality.

🏢 DeLorean Motor Co. headquarters - Less than a year since DeLorean’s announcement to set its global headquarters in SATX, we’re seeing the first look at its multi-story office tower.

The building will be positioned near Port San Antonio’s main entrance at General Hudnell Drive.
- The tower is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

🛰️ Lunar terrain laboratory - Planned for the campus is a state-of-the-art research complex to advance space-based manufacturing and related technologies.
- This complex will feature a lab with simulated lunar terrain.

Illustrated in the conceptual renderings is a domed structure design for the lab.
In partnership with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Port San Antonio will be hosting free workshops at its headquarters at 907 Billy Mitchell Blvd. for businesses seeking potential partnership opportunities.

San Antonio-based iHeartMedia is working with Illinois-based State Farm to take a substantial digital leap into the Metaverse. Dubbed “iHeartLand,” this new digital media space will allow performers and media hosts to broadcast events and concerts from anywhere. 🖥️ (San Antonio Business Journal)

According to SAWS, San Antonio will remain with its Stage 2 water restrictions despite dipping Edwards Aquifer levels. Sprinkler, soaker hose, or irrigation system watering is only allowed between 7-11 a.m. + 7-11 p.m. on designated days. Read more about watering guidelines online. 💧

Travelers at SATX airports may soon be able to sip + soar with an alcoholic beverage at the gate before boarding. CoSA is scheduled to vote today on allowing alcohol in most public areas of the city’s two airports — with the stipulation that you also purchase food. ✈️ (San Antonio Express-News)

Long-time SATX Mexican cafe, Rosario's, is set to move forward with a new Southtown location at 722 S. St. Mary's St. Planned is a new building featuring a second floor bar and lounge. An opening date is anticipated for late August. 🍸 (MySA)
Pluckers fans rejoice — the Texas-based sports and wing restaurant is adding its fourth SATX location in Brooks City at 2714 SE Military Dr. The $2 million, 9,049-sqft Southside project is slated for completion in March 2023. 🍗
